Day of Discovery: Science at the Center 2009 will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The Arizona Cancer Center opens its doors each year and invites the public to take a glimpse into the workings of a comprehensive cancer center and the research driving the future of cancer prevention, treatment and cure.
Day of Discovery provides participants the opportunity to learn about the latest information about cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and the future of cancer care: individualized medicine. It also offers people the opportunity to visit a working research laboratory for hands-on demonstrations and short presentations about the lab's research focus.
The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. No one under age 16.
