What does the search term ‘disease' mean?
“Disease” is the term we use to refer to the type of cancer being studied in clinical trials. The type of cancer can include many diseases such as the following: Epithelial ovarian cancer Non-hodgkin's lymphoma Skin cancer You can search for clinical trials by the type of cancer. Often, the exact scientific name is used in the pull-down list. Please also note that many diseases have different categories (e.g. ovarian cancer may be epithelial, germ cell, serous, mucinous, or may be of many other types). Sometimes studies are listed under only one of these categories.
