Director's Message

Alberts.jpgThis year in the United States alone, more than half a million people will die from cancer, and approximately another 1.5 million will be diagnosed with cancer. Almost one in two men and women will suffer from cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is also the leading cause of death among people under the age of 85. Even though these are alarming statistics, we can do a lot to positively impact the burden of cancer. The University of Arizona Cancer Center is a national and international leader in preventing and curing cancer. We’re convinced that most cancers can be prevented and a majority can be cured.

Patients deserve the absolute best individualized treatments possible. The University of Arizona Cancer Center provides specialized care to each and every patient.
