
Biometry Shared Service
The Biometry Shared Service (BSS) at the Arizona
Cancer Center (AZCC) is an essential intellectual resource providing
active collaboration on clinical, translational, basic, and population
research studies throughout the Center. The Service participates
in the planning, design, and operation of studies, as well as the
analysis, interpretation, and presentation of study data. The Biometry
Service’s offered, encompass numerous disciplines. The Teams
expertise traverses and draws together expertise in biostatistics,
clinical trials, epidemiology, applied mathematics, statistical computing,
and database management. Services and support in all these areas
is available. The philosophy of
the AZCC Biometry Shared Service and its Director, Dr. Sylvan Green,
M.D., is easily observed as its members work with investigators and
encourage the use of its services through individual promotion of
a collegial environment while proactively collaborating throughout
