Funding the Service
Funding provided through the Cancer
Center Support Grant (CCSG) represents only a fraction of the total cost required
to run the Service. The Service has used these funds to catalyze the development
of independent funding and proven the overall essential biostatistical role
played by the Service in Cancer Center studies. Service collaborations represent
how CCSG funding facilitated the successful development of projects, which then
attracted separate funding to support biostatisticians for activities specific
to these research grants.
Projects
The
following collaborations provided additional Biometry Service funding.
They represent how CCSG support for the Biometry Service facilitated the
successful development of projects, which then attracted separate funding
to support biostatisticians for activities specific to the projects.
- Colon Cancer Prevention
- Chemoprevention of Skin Cancer
- GI Cancer SPORE
- New Drug Targets for Apoptosis
- Apoptosis in Colon Cancer Chemoprevention
- Survival Signals for Molecular Target Assessment
- Targets to Therapeutics in Pancreatic Cancer
