Research Cures Cancer

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Arizona Cancer Center and our mission to prevent and cure cancer. The staff in the Development Office is here to help you connect your passion and philanthropy to the ongoing discoveries and advancements for cancer patients.  Every gift is important. Unrestricted gifts support all of the Arizona Cancer Center’s ongoing research needs. Gifts also may be designated for specific purposes, such as research for a particular disease, educational support, equipment and technology, or basic sciences.

You may choose to mail in your gift or make your gift online.  Our staff is also available if you would like to discuss a special gift.

Gifts of real estate, gifts by bequest, and gifts using other planned giving vehicles (such as trusts) can offer attractive tax advantages and can be customized to fit your philanthropic and financial objectives.

Cancer treatment and prevention have greatly improved over recent decades through the type of research done at the Arizona Cancer Center. Research will cure cancer. This is a fundamental belief of our faculty, staff, students, volunteers, and patients. It is also a fact verified by the remarkable progress made against this disease, for today half of the patients diagnosed with cancer will be cured, and those that are not cured have significantly improved survival and/or quality of life.

Gifts made in support of cancer research at the Arizona Cancer Center have been and continue to be a vital and necessary source of inspiration. In nearly every case, large federal or industrial research grant awards made to the Arizona Cancer Center are the echo effect of donations, and some of these donations may have been made many years ago. These gifts allow our faculty to explore; they allow our research teams to follow interesting observations; they allow our scientists to make innovative new discoveries; and most importantly, they bring these new discoveries to patients with cancer.

Discoveries made possible by gifts lead to new and more effective diagnostic methods, more capable and specific treatments, and useful cancer prevention strategies.

We are grateful for your past gifts and for gifts that you may make in the future; the moral and financial backing of supporters like you is essential to maintaining the high quality of research and treatment at the Center.
